The computer lab follows Miller Library’s hours for each semester.
The TRC computer lab is the only computer lab on campus open to students, faculty, and staff.

VDI – Software & Information
The TRC lab has 40 VDI computers, all available with internet access. Log in using your Mustang Express credentials to access the VDI. Please log out of the computer when your session is complete. We do provide assistance with how to log in, printing, and software-related issues.

How to Access the VDI
You can access the VDI two ways:
1. Using the Horizon Desktop Client (which is a download)
- Browse to: https://vdi.wnmu.edu
- Click on Install VMware Horizon Desktop Client and it will download the Client to your computer, then install it.
- Open the Horizon client to begin
- Click + ADD SERVER
- Enter the server connection: vdi.wnmu.edu, click connect.
- The login screen will appear, enter your Mustang Express credentials to login
- Click on MUSTANG UP
2. HTML access through a Web Browser (Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari).
- Browse to: https://vdi.wnmu.edu
- Choose VMware Horizon HTML Access
- The login screen will appear, enter your Mustang Express credentials to login
- Click on MUSTANG UP
Printing
The computer lab offers color or black & white printing. A $15.00 allotment is added to each student’s WNMU account, at the beginning of each semester you are enrolled in classes. If a student uses all of their printing funds, they can add more through Mustang Wallet, or at the Business office in $5.00 increments.
Black and white single-sided is $0.10 cents per page, double-sided is $0.15 cents.
Color printing single-sided is $0.20 cents per page, double-sided is $0.35 cents.
We also offer large format printing. Please see the samples and pricing in the TRC workroom for the paper types and quality, pricing is per linear foot only.
(1 linear foot = 12”x 24”, 36”, or 42” respectively)

Printing Notice:
It is highly recommended that the user be present while their poster is being printed to make sure that posters are formatted and printed correctly.
Refunds or reprints will only be provided if print jobs are damaged and canceled in a timely manner. * Less than 1 foot of printed area*
Any other reprints will be charged to your account. It is your responsibility to make sure your poster or document is correctly sized and ready for printing when the request is submitted.
Posters will be held for one week before being discarded.
Computer Classroom Reservations
How to start your search for a computer classroom:
- Look through the Classroom Schedule located inside your Mustang Express account, Employee tab: Useful links listed on the left-hand side of the page:
- Check the online classroom schedules located at https://fuse.wnmu.edu/computer-classrooms.html
These include:
GRC 100 – capacity is 22
GRC 101 – capacity is 24
Martinez 110 – capacity is 23
Martinez 113 – capacity is 24
Martinez 250 – capacity is 18 - After checking both of these schedules, determine which room would best suit your needs. Then, while still logged into your Mustang Express account, click on IT Service at the top of the page, go to Service Catalog: Academic Computing: Classroom Request/ Reservation. This will open a form for you to fill out, please include as much information as possible, for us to get you in the correct room. Once this form is submitted, a help desk ticket will be created, and an email will be sent to computerlabs@wnmu.edu and we will begin working on your reservation request.

Study Rooms
The TRC has 6 study rooms available for students. Making a reservation is the only way to guarantee that you get to use a study room. If a room happens to be available, we will schedule you on a first come, first served basis. Study rooms are reserved for a 2-hour maximum time limit per day during Dead Week and Finals Week to allow other students to use the rooms.
Each room includes a table with 8 chairs, a TV connected by HDMI cable to the center console on the table. This will allow you to connect your laptop to the HDMI port on the table and view your documents, exams, etc.… from your laptop on the large screen TV. Each room also includes a VDI thin client for access to Mustang Express, Canvas, websites, and many software applications.
Study Room Reservations
How to reserve a Study Room:
- Log into your Mustang Express account and click the Student tab. Under Useful Links: (listed on the left-hand side of the page).
- Clicking on Study Room Reservations will take you to the Libcal webpage for the TRC StudyRooms. Choose a room that is available, click on the time you want to reserve the room and at the bottom click on Submit Times. Here you will be asked to read the Terms & Conditions, then click on continue. You will be asked for your Name, email address, phone number and W number. Once you have filled in the required information, select Submit my booking. You will receive a confirmation email once your booking has been processed. ** Important note: if you are more than 15 minutes late your reservation will be cancelled by the Libcal system.
- Reservations may also be made in person at the TRC front counter.
